Privacy & analytics

Plain-English privacy.

We build software for a living, so we know exactly what tracking looks like — and we've kept it to a minimum. Here's everything this site does with your data.

Last updated: 8 July 2026 — draft, pending final review before go-live

The short version

  • No advertising, no third-party trackers, no data sold or shared for marketing — ever.
  • Analytics run on our own servers and only start if you say yes to the notice.
  • The contact form collects the minimum needed to reply to you, and nothing else.

Who we are

This site is run by RoraLabs, the trading name of Rora Labs Ltd, a software studio registered in England & Wales. Company number and registered office will be added here before launch. For anything in this policy, contact [email protected].

The contact form

If you use the form on our contact page (or email us directly), we receive your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message. We use it for one thing: reading your enquiry and replying to it. It isn't added to a marketing list, and it isn't shared with anyone outside the studio.

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to handle the conversation and any work that comes from it. If you'd like an enquiry deleted, ask and we'll delete it.

Analytics — self-hosted, opt-in

We use PostHog, an analytics tool, to understand how this site is used — which pages people visit and where they get stuck. Two things make our setup unusual:

  • It runs on our own servers. Analytics data never goes to a third-party analytics company.
  • It's opt-in. Nothing is loaded and nothing is recorded unless you choose "Allow" on the notice that appears when you first visit. If you decline, or simply ignore the notice, no analytics run. We also respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.

If you accept, PostHog records standard usage data such as pages viewed, referring page, browser and device type. We use it in aggregate to improve the site.

Cookies & local storage

There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.

Hosting & delivery

The site is served from infrastructure we operate, delivered through Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, our servers and Cloudflare process your IP address in order to serve pages and protect the site (for example, blocking abusive traffic). Standard server logs are used for security and troubleshooting, not for profiling.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent (for example, for analytics) at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll deal with it directly.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Our products

Say2Go and Vigil are separate products with their own data practices, documented where those products live. This policy covers this website only.

Changes

If we change how this site handles data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. We won't quietly add tracking.
